11:55 Cooperative Purchasing: Team Trivia Edition
Why reinvent the wheel? Local governments are legally allowed to collaborate – but do you know when, why, and how to share purchasing work with your peers? Over the last few months, Columbia Chapter ICP has partnered with CoProcure (www.coprocure.us), a mission-driven technology startup, to create a new tool to support cooperative purchasing in our region. In this hands-on activity, moderated by ICP and CoProcure, we’ll break into teams that will compete for the title of cooperative purchasing trivia champions. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Explain cooperative purchasing and identify how and when to use it in your day-to-day work;
- Get access to resources, both online and offline, that can help you collaborate with purchasing peers;
- Connect with and learn from procurement peers in our chapter.
